Jamia Millia Islamia 2026 admission through multiple channels
Admissions (2026) in Jamia Millia Islamia (a Central University) shall be through its own entrance tests for majority of its UG courses.
For some (total 8) courses, admission shall be on the basis of merit in CUET-UG. Please note that even for courses in which admission is based on CUET, applicants need to register on Jamia portal as well.
Further, BTech admission shall be on the basis of JEE (Mains), Barch on the basis of NATA and BDS and BPT on the basis of NEET.
Application dates
(A) For courses listed in (1) below: 20 Feb to 25 Mar 2026
(B) For other courses listed in 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 below
Availability of Online forms for the programs whose admission will be done on the merit of JEE Mains, NATA, CUET-UG, NEET, NCET-ITEP: From Feb 20 2026 till 10 days after the declaration of results by the respective test agencies.
Note: For NATA the admission forms will remain open after the Rank/Score of first cutoff date announced by COA in 2026.
1. Key courses for which Jamia will conduct its own entrance test: There are many sought-after courses, especially the professional courses, for which the University is NOT accepting CUET-UG and instead will conduct its own entrance test as has been the past practice.

2. Courses in which admission is through CUET-UG: The University has also decided to grant admissions in some courses through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) which is to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There are 8 courses in this category as listed below.

B29: B A (Hons) Hindi
B35: B A (Hons) Urdu
B58: B A (Hons) Korean Language
B60: B A (Hons) French & Frencophone
B61: B A (Hons) Spanish & Latin American

Students who are interested in applying for these courses will have to fill online forms of CUET-UG and will also have to register for JMI as per the instructions given in the prospectus.
3. Admission to BSc-BEd and BA-BEd through NCET-ITEP
Admission in BSc-BEd (Secondary) and BA-BEd (Secondary courses shall be on the basis of NCET-ITEP conducted by NTA.
4. Admission to B.Tech. Program of JMI through JEE (Mains).
(i)The candidate needs to qualify JEE (Main) exam 2026 conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).
(ii) Fill Admission form of Jamia Millia Islamia
(iii) Enter JEE(Main) application number in JMI form.
(iv) The Rank list will be published based on the final rank of JEE (Mains) 2025, strictly as per merit and JMI Admission Policy.
5. Admission to B.Arch. program of JMI on the basis of NATA
(i)The candidate needs to qualify National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
(ii) Fill Admission form of JMI
(iii)Enter NATA application number in JMI form.
(iv) The Rank list will be published based on the final rank of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, strictly as per merit and JMI Admission Policy
6. Admission to BDS and BPT program of JMI on basis of NEET-UG
Admission to BDS program shall be on the basis of merit in NEET-2026 and conducted by Medical Counselling Cell (MCC) of D.G.H.S. GoI. In case of any vacancies transferred to JMI by MCC, the University shall publicize them on its website.
